About Us
We’re Compass Regulatory, an early stage technology startup building the regulatory and compliance platform for the ag industry. We help agriculture companies, starting with crop input developers and retailers, easily track and execute their regulatory work, letting them bring new products to market faster while reducing the risk of costly errors. We then make that critical data available to product users across the industry, from retailers to farm technology providers.
Our team comes from some of the leading companies in the AgTech industry, and has received investment from notable SaaS and AgTech investors.
The role
We are seeking a talented and ambitious data associate to join our product data team. In this role you will:
- Accurately input, verify and maintain crop input data from multiple sources
- Analyze crop input documents to identify patterns, trends, variations, and ensure data quality
- Work closely with the product data and technical team to maintain high standards of data quality and integrity within the database, including data obtained using AI models
- Regularly audit data to identify potential errors and suggest corrective actions
- Share in building a community that promotes curiosity and innovation
What you bring
- 3+ years of education or experience in an agriculture related field
- Understanding of crop inputs, with emphasis on pesticide labels
- Proficiency in data collection, conversion, integrity, quality control and communication
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment while ensuring data accuracy and consistency
- In-field or regulatory environment experience is a plus, though not required

Location: Remote
Compensation and Additional Information
We take a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into two zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Base compensation: $50,000 - $80,000
This role is also eligible to participate in the company's equity plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies. Additional benefits include time off and retirement plan eligibility further detailed in company policies.
